What You’ll Do

1. Read production schedules, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

2. Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to designated areas throughout the manufacturing facility.

3. Open boxes, crates, and other containers.  Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to documented standard work, or predetermined sequence (i.e. part number, commodity, size, product code).

4. Fill orders, work orders, or requisitions for material, tools, or other stock items and deliver to production work areas.

5. Label materials with identification data.
