Crane Operator

Operate Drillship/MODU cranes in aid of drilling operations. Supervise Roustabouts as required to assist with ongoing rig operations. Assist in the handling of freight to or from helicopters and boats. Enforce and maintain safety and environmental compliance standards. Conduct all assigned duties by the Marine Section Leader or authorized representative safely and efficiently during drilling, work over and completion operations. Ensure all activities are going safely, and make corrections or report to the responsible individual any unsafe acts and/or conditions that occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as a Crane Operator.
• Experience leading Roustabout crews and offshore drilling operations.
• Completion of all training requirements of the position within the specified time frame.
• Requires Crane Operator Certificate, Able Seaman Endorsement (If Drillship/MODU sea time accrued to qualify for USCG endorsement); Fast Rescue Boat Certificate; Basic and Advanced Fire Fighting Certificates; and HLO (Helicopter Landing Officer) Certificate.
• Awareness of crane and rigging safety guidelines, regulations, and limits of operation of cranes and connected lifting equipment.  Should have the capability to inspect all of the crane's system and equipment, and connected rigging equipment. And awareness of the Company's paint specifications and procedures.
