Purpose of job: To provide a range of forest management maintenance work using specialist forestry equipment and machinery.

This is a multi-skilled position and will involve small scale timber harvesting and windblow clear up, mulching, specific conservation management, access point maintenance, site clearance, hedge cutting, mowing, timber movement.

Key accountabilities:

  • Drive specialist forestry equipment to provide high-quality forest management.
  • Use equipment professionally and safely at all times with appropriate regard to Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of work, including PUWER requirements;
  • Machinery includes: Timber trailer and crane, winch, telehandler and attachments, forestry mowers.
