Job Opportunity: Hydraulic Engineer

Are you an experienced Hydraulic Engineer looking for a dynamic and challenging role? Do you have a background in working with heavy plant or mobile cranes? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you!

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to take responsibility for the hydraulic build and maintenance at our client's site, just on the outskirts of Keighley. This position involves a mix of factory-based work and occasional field service visits, including installations and overseas travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble hydraulic systems, including dressing prime movers with pumps, valves, and piping.
• Perform final testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems.
• Conduct service visits and installations as required, including international assignments.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic systems associated with heavy plant and mobile cranes.
• Utilize working knowledge of electronics for the control and operation of hydraulic systems.
  

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a contractor’s plant engineer or similar, working with heavy plant or mobile cranes.
• Strong expertise in hydraulic systems, including assembly, fault finding, and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of electronics associated with hydraulic controls.
• Willingness to travel for service and installation work, including overseas assignments.
• Military engineering experience (e.g., ex-Army engineers) is highly desirable.
