Komatsu introduces WA485-11 and WA475-11 wheel loaders

In March 2025, Komatsu unveiled the WA475-11 and WA485-11 wheel loaders, designed to improve productivity and efficiency. The WA485-11 has a maximum of 12% lower fuel consumption, 21% increased engine power, and 13% quicker climbing speed than its predecessor, the WA480-8. Likewise, the WA475-11 has a maximum of 7% reduced fuel consumption, 18% increased engine power, and 40% more climbing speed than the WA475-10. Both models incorporate the Komatsu Hydrostatic-Mechanical Transmission (KHMT) for increased fuel efficiency and productivity, a roomy four-pillar cab, angle feedback joystick steering, and independent work control to minimize operator fatigue. Rear object detection and a deluxe LED light package are standard to promote jobsite safety. Also, yard loader configurations are offered, featuring larger buckets, wide low-profile tires, and added counterweights to enable greater productivity in aggregate uses.
