About the role:  

As the Maintenance Fitter, you will serve as a crucial team member responsible for the maintenance, upgrades, and modifications of various machinery and equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our client's factory.

Responsibilities will include:

Perform maintenance, upgrades, and modifications on various heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment across the factory, including presses and forming machines
Maintain and service pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance
Maintain a smooth operation of production lines, including ovens, loaders, unloaders, and mixers
Overhaul high-pressure and low-pressure pumps and compressors, including necessary pipework upgrades and modifications
Diagnose and repair faults in tooling and machinery
Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment

Skills + Experience: 

For this role you will need:

• Substantial hands-on experience in maintaining various industrial equipment/machinery
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Some welding and fabrication skills for repairs and modifications would be advantageous
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts
• Flexibility to work weekends and respond to urgent maintenance needs
• The ability to work as part of a team, but also unsupervised
• Relevant qualification in Maintenance Fitting or similar

Pay + Benefits:  

Competitive salary aligned with skills and experience + Shift Allowance
Hours of work are between am and 6pm Monday to Friday
Free on-site parking
