Maintenance Fitter

Job Description
Principal Responsibilities:

• Electro-mechanical repairs to a plant controlled by a PLC, conveying and handling equipment, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic control systems
• Keep the plant facilities and services, including compressed air, in good condition.
• Input to and perform Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines
• Assist the operations team in meeting targets
• Collaborate with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and alterations.
• To be vigilant & work on your initiative when a fault is identified  & to act upon your best judgment as to whether or not to make immediate repair
• To maintain cleanliness in any area in which you are working, including any transit areas to and from the workshop, including the workshop and stores
• Cooperate and fully participate in training and development in cross-skilling and other job competencies.
• Involved in the inputting of the maintenance management system (CMMS), all changes recorded, transactions to stores made, and work completed
