1 - First Shift

Are you the type of person who likes to be busy, is organized, and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously? In this role, you will store and distribute materials and products throughout the manufacturing facility by means of a variety of material-handling equipment.  We’re looking for dedicated team members with a drive to build the best.

What You’ll Do

1. Read production schedules, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

2. Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to designated areas throughout the manufacturing facility.

3. Open boxes, crates, and other containers.  Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to documented standard work, or predetermined sequence (i.e. part number, commodity, size, product code).

4. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for material, tools, or other stock items and distribute to production work areas.

5. Mark materials with identifying information.

6. Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance to standard work and company policy.

7. Drive forklift or other material-handling vehicles when necessary.

8. Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offer suggestions and make improvements that achieve the department’s performance board metrics.

What We’re Looking For 

- Successful completion of Vermeer forklift certification as required for the work location.

- Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to respond to questions from managers and suppliers.

- Ability to perform basic functions in Glovia.

- Ability to perform problem-solving techniques.

- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action for a given situation.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
