Port of Spain has placed an order for five Konecranes lift trucks.

The Port of Port of Spain (PPOS) has acquired 2 Konecranes Liftace empty container handlers, 1Konecranes reach stacker, and 2 Konecranes forklifts for its port terminal situated in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. The delivery of the empty container handlers took place in the third quarter of 2022, while the reach stackers and forklift trucks are expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2023.

Operated by the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (PATT), the terminal is located in the city of Port of Spain, which serves as the capital of Trinidad and Tobago. It stands as the largest multi-purpose port on the island and plays a crucial role as a pivotal Caribbean shipping hub. Given its central position in regional logistics, the need for a dependable fleet of container handling equipment is paramount to ensure optimal efficiency throughout its round-the-clock operations. In their quest to modernize their lift truck fleet, PATT opted for Konecranes, with the invaluable support of their regional dealer, Genar Inc., to provide top-tier equipment and services that align with their operational needs.
