Overview:

The Ship Crane Operator will operate cranes onboard ships carrying bulk commodities like sand, aggregate, gravel, and other products. The job demands handling heavy and bulky commodities, maintaining safety regulations, and effectively operating cranes in different maritime settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cranes safely and effectively for loading and discharging bulk materials. This involves the handling of material flow to and from the vessel and coordination with deckhands.
• Adhere strictly to all maritime safety regulations and operating procedures. Make periodic checks on crane equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Supervise bulk material handling, ensuring that cargo is loaded and discharged efficiently, with no spillage or damage.
• Communicate well to coordinate the movement of materials and keep to schedules.
• Alert management to any issues of operations.
