The Konecranes Gottwald Generation 6 Mobile Harbor Crane

Arawak Port Development Limited (APD) has placed an order for a Konecranes Gottwald ESP.6 mobile harbor crane to significantly enhance the capacity of their terminal at the Port of Nassau. This crane marks a milestone as the first at the port to operate on mains power, ensuring zero emissions during its use. The order was made in Q1 2024 with delivery scheduled for Q3 2024. As one of the Caribbean's leading port operators, APD manages extensive facilities in Nassau and is expanding them to accommodate the rising demand for container handling. Building on the success of an existing Konecranes Gottwald Generation 6 mobile harbor crane at the harbor, APD's decision to acquire another underscores its commitment to maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing emissions through electric operation.
