Electric pallet truck operator

POSITION SUMMARY

An Electric pallet truck operator is in charge of driving and operating an electric pallet truck. They are responsible for the safe driving and operating of electric pallet trucks while ensuring that Winterwood's internal safety policies and procedures are followed. An electric pallet truck operator is expected to complete daily electric pallet truck inspections, and transport and move around the pallets with the raw material and finished product during production. This position's prime function is to support the production lines through receiving, storing, and loading the products. The main purpose of the forklift operator position is the safe operation of the electric pallet truck equipment and ensuring that all the manufacturer’s recommendations and the company’s Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing daily equipment checks
• Moving pallets with goods between storage and production lines
• Supplying production lines with fruit and packaging
• Disposing of used materials and moving unused fruit and packaging back into storage
• Splitting the product pallets into different batches
• Communication with the line leader, helper, and management as well as the other teams of the production
• Opening and closing CAs
