Equipment Mechanic / Road Service Technician

Location – Concord, NH

W.D. Matthews is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in the Concord NH area. The Equipment Mechanic/Road Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of gas, diesel, propane, and electric-powered forklifts as well as aerial lift and man lift equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare equipment records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light, medium, and heavy-duty equipment
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Inspect and perform work on the underparts of equipment
• Access any area of the equipment to perform necessary maintenance
• Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on equipment
• Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary
• Perform other duties as required
  

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 2 years experience performing vehicle/equipment maintenance or must possess an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school.
• Must have valid Drivers License-Class C
• Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
