Excavator Operator

Prince Contracting seeks a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

Job Description:

• Acquire and adhere to safety rules.
• Take steps to prevent possible hazards or obstructions, including utility lines, other equipment, other employees, or falling objects.
• Position handwheels and press pedals to operate attachments, including blades, buckets, scrapers, or swing booms.
• Crack engines, move throttles, switches, or levers, or press pedals to power machines, including bulldozers, trench excavators, road graders, or backhoes.
• Find underground facilities, like pipes or wires, before starting work.
• Watch operations to make sure health and safety requirements are maintained.
• Set machine depth gauge makers against reference stakes and lines, or on the ground, or position equipment, taking hand signals from other workers.
