Job Description

1. Train and skill the crew in the operation, maintenance, and repair of Hydraulic Hammers and power packs/equipment. 

2. Inform the Barge Foreman, Barge Superintendent, and Field Engineer of details of the job and activities about the Hammer.

3. Maintain a current and complete inventory of spare items/equipment available at all times.

4. Confirm that all of the equipment and accessories needed to support the Hammers are aboard the barge and that hammers and properly set up, hoses are plumbed and umbilical cables are in go-ahead condition.

5. Have a thoroughly written record of all operations that are mobilized utilizing hammers.

6. Escort the dismantling and demobilization of the hammer equipment as well as maintain it during idleness

7. Keep a record of equipment condition before-and after piling operations to document and mark specific equipment for maintenance works.

8. Coordinate regularly with the Chief Mechanic to arrange for timely inspection and maintenance of equipment.

9. Implement necessary measures to provide a safe working environment.

10. If an emergency is at hand that entails potential risk, perform the hammering process in a suitable manner with respect to the crew's safety.

11. Compliance as per Company codes and HSE standards.
