About The Position

INTECH Process Automation is looking for a Hydraulic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must have experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic systems. Hydraulic Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of hydraulic machinery, equipment, and components.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot hydraulic equipment and systems
  • Inspect and repair hoses and hydraulic lines
  • Test equipment for proper performance and compliance with regulations
  • Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems and equipment
  • Understanding of High- and Low-Pressure Hydraulic Systems and Pneumatic Systems
  • Understanding of Documents related to Hydraulic Schematic/P&ID Drawings, Pneumatic
  • Schematic/P&ID Drawings, Panel General Arrangement and Layouts Drawings, Panel Fabrication
  • Drawings, Instruments Installation Drawings, Instruments Supporting Drawings, Instruments Datasheets.
  • Understanding and Installation of Electrical and Hydraulic Instruments including Hydraulic Solenoid
  • Valves, Pressure Transmitter, Level Transmitter, Pressure Switch Level Switch, Pump and Motors,
  • High- and Low-Pressure Interface Valves, Low-Pressure Mechanical Relays, High and Low Hydraulic & Pneumatic Pressure Regulators, Piston & Bladder Type Accumulators, Pneumatic Handpump,
  • Hydraulic Handpump, Instrument Mounting Brackets
  • Understanding and Installation of Metric and Imperial Fitting sizes (Swagelok Fittings Part Numbers,
  • Hy-lok Fittings Part Numbers, Fitting Pressure Rating)
  • Understanding and usage of Metric and Imperial Tube sizes (1/2", 12.7mm different sizes of wall thickness and rating, 3/8", 9.5mm different sizes of wall thickness and rating, 1/4", 6.35 different sizes of wall thickness and rating.
  • Fitting Installation of different types of thread sealant & Teflon tapes
  • Tubing Work related to Instrument Tubing routing as per P&ID and tubing sizes, Tube punching, and cleaning
  • Understanding of Hydraulic Tools including Different Size of Tubing Benders, Tube Cutters, Air
  • Compressor, Hydraulic Chart Recorder
  • Understanding of Nitrogen Kit and Pre-Charging of Piston Type Accumulators, Bladder Type
  • Accumulators
  • Reservoir cleaning and filling

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working with hydraulic systems and components
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications or vocational training in hydraulics is desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Hydraulic Technician or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems and components
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
  • Excellent attention to detail
