Southworth Products, Inc., located in Manila, Arkansas, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer.

Primary Functions:

  • Support Service Field Department by supervising the installation of products at the customer's facility
  • Provide Customer Service Support including site visits to evaluate and resolve problems
  • Check orders as released from Design Engineering for errors, functionality, and manufacturability
  • Resolve manufacturing issues on the plant floor
  • Conduct time & motion studies to improve manufacturing efficiency
  • Determine tool and fixture needs for current and future production requirements
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Capital Projects

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field. (Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of CAD (Solidworks preferred)
  • Programmable Logic Controller programming experience is preferred
  • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems from schematics
  • Thorough knowledge of hydraulic power systems and controls
  • Working knowledge of welding and steel fabrication techniques
  • Robotic welding knowledge and experience is a bonus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Must be able to perform and manage multiple tasks at once, able to work without direct supervision, and willing to work flexible hours
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Travel required
  • Must be able to bend, twist, reach, and grasp with fingers
