Mechanic I

GE Vernova  is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic I to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment used in environmental services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

• Disassemble, assemble, move, and align equipment and machinery with the use of: hoists, cranes, chain falls, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, micrometers, rules, squares, plumb bobs, dial indicators, and/or laser alignment devices
• Read blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical papers to identify proper work procedures
• Responsible for shipping and receiving all major T&DC pieces, plus shipping, receiving, inventory, and control of equipment, tools, and supplies
• Conduct material and machine inspections with accuracy measuring instruments like micrometers, rules, calipers, protractors, and torque wrenches.
• Execute machining and welding work for the fabrication of different parts for laboratory and shop training apparatus.
