Mechanical Technician

Qualifications and/or Physical Requirements

The candidate should have the capability to drive different vehicles, where necessary, to conduct assignments. Applicants should be motivated and possess a good attitude and punctuality. The candidate should be capable of understanding verbal and written instructions. The candidate should have at least 1.5 years of mechanical repair, assembling, or fabricating experience, together with an understanding of the proper tools necessary for conducting various jobs. Candidate should be able to read, understand, and implement maintenance manual procedures and have good knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, compressors, hydraulics, and welding equipment. Having the capability to repair welding is a plus, but not mandatory. Ability to stand and work under adverse conditions (outside in all weather or inside in a manufacturing setting) for at least 8 hours. Ability to use basic measuring devices (tape measure, caliper, etc.). Ability to perform extensive walking, bending, stooping, and moderate to heavy lifting. Ability to manually operate several levers and Knobs in conjunction with relevant machines or equipment.
