Service Engineer

This role is part of our Global Services Division. Reporting directly to the Operations Superintendent. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Advanced maintenance on hydraulic and mechanical, basic electrical and automation, and maintenance of equipment 
• Supervise and perform service activities such as refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective actions 
• Stay up to date with relevant developments, routines, processes, and news
• Provide information and write reports as required 
• Support sales activities such as follow-up on leads and quotes while at the site, as agreed with the sales responsible.
• Follow all site safety rules, agreed working practices, and environmental requirements.
• Comply with all relevant safety and quality requirements according to MacGregor.
  

What you’ll need to succeed

• Technical education at Bachelors or Technical College level within Mechanical or Hydraulic. Relevant experience may compensate for a lack of education. 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position 
• Previous experience with winches, cranes, and steering gear is a must
• Basic knowledge in both automation and/or electrical fields is a valuable asset
• Proven experience working with computer systems professionally
• Good English language - both verbal and written
