As a Cat Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your main duty is to decide the status of services required for different heavy and light construction equipment and carry out the required repairs and maintenance to bring the equipment back to proper functioning. This involves set-up, repair, service, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and replacement part installation on Caterpillar diesel-powered heavy equipment. This is an experienced service mechanic job working independently and/or with the assistance of service mentors in a service shop environment while field technicians work out of a company-supplied field service truck, working at a range of customer locations and service shops.
