Maintenance Technician I

Maintenance Technicians perform front-line trouble call support to several high-volume assembly lines and sheet metal fabricating equipment. Technicians will also conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on plant manufacturing equipment and the facility. Responsibilities include troubleshooting automated test and assembly equipment, pipe fitting welding, repair of electrical or mechanical equipment, installation, alignment, and balancing new machinery. Utilizes advanced technical expertise in the area of specialization. May develop procedures and techniques required to assemble natural gas-fired pool heaters and electric heat pumps. Responsibilities and tasks are often not routine. Solves most problems and questions, referring only the most difficult problems to higher management. Must possess multi-craft experience with solid electrical understanding. Expected to provide problem solutions and training aids. Candidates must be very motivated and self-initiated, working with minimal supervision.
