Primary Responsibilities: ∙

Operates and inspects machines, or equipment to locate defects. ∙

Disassembles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools. ∙

Inspects parts, for damage and excessive wear using micrometers and gauges. ∙

Replaces defective motors and subassemblies, such as transmissions. ∙

Tests machines or equipment [after repairs] to ensure they are operating efficiently. ∙

Welds broken parts and structural members.
