Heavy Equipment Operator

GFL Environmental is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Preferred experience in trenching and utility installation
• Ability to safely operate a heavy equipment in a productive and efficient way
• Daily equipment maintenance and hours tracking on used equipment
• Manual labor tasks concerning construction of work sites
• Construction work site experience with certifications
• Training and strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols
• Ability to follow instruction from supervisor to get daily tasks done and accomplish job site objectives
• Be a proactive team member to gain a quality completed product for our clients
• Desirable experience in operating GPS-enabled equipment but not essential
