Hydraulic Engineer

Duties/Responsibilities    

• Designing hydraulic systems such as water distribution networks and drainage systems 
• Analysing the impact of water movement on their surroundings 
• Conducting site inspections and field surveying to inform these decisions 
• Writing and implementing flood control projects 
• Working together with environmental scientists and other engineering disciplines 
• Building computer models to predict hydraulic action and system performance 
• Supervising the construction and maintenance of hydraulic structures 
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
