About the role

We're looking for a Maintenance Fitter for our business who will ensure our site performs at its peak each day. As a member of our team, you'll have the ownership and support you need to succeed, both from your leaders and your colleagues.

Our Rocklea manufacturing facility produces some of Australia's most trusted and well-known brands. Working with a dedicated team, you will ensure we continue to meet the high standards and delivery the site has been accustomed to. This is a day shift position from 5:45 am – 2:30 pm with twoRDOss per month.

Responsibilities

Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and participate in site improvement projects
Identify any plant equipment issues and troubleshoot, providing sustainable solutions and communicating with all stakeholders
Identify and highlight problems or deviations from the desired process, and lead root cause analysis and problem-solving
Responding to breakdown situations to repair all plant equipment as requested by the relevant Manager/Supervisor
Maintaining all registers, logs, and systems to track repairs, notifications, and work activities

Skills & Experience  

Trade Certificate (Fitter and Turner)  
High-Speed Packaging and Fault finding experience in process equipment-essential
Good welding skills 
Proficient Lathe and Milling skills 
Experience in Hydraulics & Pneumatics, motor gearboxes, and pumps
Experience & problem-solving skills related to manufacturing environments
