Position Description

Successfully operate waterside cranes to discharge cargo from vessels to shore. Maintain and repair the cranes as trained and instructed.

Position Requirements

Ø  Safely and efficiently operate cranes and related gear to transfer cargo from vessel to shore.
Ø  Effectively coordinate with vessel personnel, and complete required documentation and reports related to cargo transfer.
Ø   May act as an assigned leader for other marine employees.
Ø  Participate as trained and instructed in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cranes, gear, and related equipment.
Ø  May be assigned to general duties in all areas of operations of the terminals.
Ø   Refresher training in maintenance, operations, safety, and environment as required.
Ø  Housekeeping and general maintenance as required.
Perform any other type of terminal function as trained and as instructed by the supervisor.
Ø  Ability to frequently lift to 50 pounds.
Ø  Ability to work at heights up to 80 feet
Ø  Must meet medical criteria for use of respiratory protective equipment
Ø  Demonstrated aptitude to execute and maintain necessary records

Must have the ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
