Forklift Operator, Inbound

Sysco seeks a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator, Inbound, to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about operating a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, like forklifts used in environmental services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to proper equipment (i.e., tugs, forklifts, pallet jacks) operation procedures and practices to minimize accidents and injuries.
• Ensure that assigned equipment is clean and well-maintained; report the need for servicing or repair to the manager to minimize equipment damage.
• Follow all safety regulations, rules, and sanitation procedures to minimize accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.
• Utilize equipment horns when traveling out of storage facilities, into obstructed view zones, and on approach to walkways or row intersections to minimize accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.
• Plug devices into a source of power when idle to maintain the ready availability of fully functioning equipment.
