Mobile Equipment Mechanic

Vulcan is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about maintaining and repairing equipment used in environmental services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Promote and Prioritize Safety. Take an active role and promote safety in all aspects of the operation for themselves and others at all times in compliance with MSHA and Vulcan safety standards.
• Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment. Service, repair, adjust, and test all mobile equipment that operates throughout the plant in order to optimize and maximize performance for maximum availability. 
• Inspect Equipment and Material. Inspect all mobile equipment to locate and troubleshoot the cause of the fault and carry out repairs when able to deal with issues.
• Handle and Move Objects. Handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrial hand tools safely throughout the shop and plant.
• Document and Record Information. Complete appropriate and accurate documentation on a daily and monthly basis for all mobile equipment. Complete and maintain accurate service report for all the mobile equipment in either a hard copy or electronic in form.
• Operate Equipment. In order to ensure production can continue efficiently, assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant as needed.
• Physical Activity by General Activities. Participate in physical activities that use your arms and legs, and require you to move your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling practically anything.
