Lead Fork Lift Operator

GFL Environmental is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to their operations' safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receiving/Put-Away: Unload incoming shipments, dragline carts, and transfer product to storage areas. Stack and store the merchandise in the correct areas efficiently.
• Quality: Make sure outbound and inbound shipments are precise and undamaged. Report quality discrepancies.
• Order Picking: Pull and stage product for shipment, making sure the correct number and type of product is shipped and loaded. Conduct picking responsibilities in a productive manner that satisfies customer service requirements.
• Loading: Effectively transfer product from storage and/or staging locations into trailers or rail cars.
• Equipment: Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and material with a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered equipment. Perform picking, receiving, put-away, and load functions with radio frequency equipment, as needed. Keep the equipment and materials of the facility clean, neat, and organized. Daily inspect and perform basic maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. Use all equipment safely and efficiently according to the prescribed method of work.
