Alstom is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance of Equipment Technician to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to their operations' safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

As a Maintenance of Equipment Technician, you will:

  • Be tasked with servicing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing rail equipment. Repair, replace, and test machinery, components, and systems associated with rail equipment under the direction of engineering or other staff by conducting mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic activities.
  • Read and comprehend project/activity request, safety procedures, blueprints, schematic and diagram to determine test specification, procedures, objectives, nature of technical activity and potential solutions like disassemble and replace, adjust or repair in terms of the maintenance activities of both the locomotive and car equipment.
  • Disassemble, rebuild and install new or altered mechanical parts or assemblies for items like HVAC, brake, pneumatic system, propulsion equipment, truck and body equipment and sub-system of cars for trains so equipment may meet inspections.
  • Analyzes sub-system to satisfy design or rated specifications and alters or adjusts equipment to satisfy specifications promptly to satisfy customer train availability schedule and/or overhaul schedule.
