Andiritz is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals.  The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

The following tasks will comprise the essential functions of this role: 

  • Design auxiliary hydraulic, pneumatic, and cooling water systems for hydroelectric turbine units in accordance with project specifications. 
  • Managing, directing, and performing engineering work associated with the design of these complex systems, where performance and functionality are paramount. 
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating associates' project work. 
  • Creating written specifications for the design, manufacture, and installation of hydraulic governor equipment, hydraulic cylinders, pressure vessels, and auxiliary systems/skids. 
  • Specifying pumps, motors, valves, fittings, oil, instrumentation, etc., to meet contract requirements and industry standards. 
  • Ensuring successful integration with other systems by working with other mechanical/electrical interfacing engineers. 
  • Resolving technical issues related to projects in the field and remotely. 
  • Supporting project managers with technical tasks related to hydro-turbine refurbishment. 
  • Reviewing purchase order quotes for technical completeness.
