Sigma Freudenberg NOK (SFN), a collaborative venture between India, Germany, and Japan specializing in the production of oil seals and sealing products for both domestic and global markets, is poised to make significant advancements in its Indian operations. On February 4, it will unveil a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Basma, near Rajpura in Punjab, with an investment of Rs 185 crore. Spanning 40 acres and boasting 250,000 square feet of enclosed space, this marks SFN's second plant in Basma. The inauguration ceremony will be graced by Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal.

          The SFN Basma facility is poised to manufacture a range of oil seals, encompassing radial shaft seals for engines, seals for shock absorbers, valve and steering seals, as well as rubber boots and O-rings. These products are destined for various automotive giants, both within India and on the global stage, including Maruti Suzuki, Honda Cars India, Tata Motors, Toyota, Ford, Ashok Leyland, Lucas TVS, Toyota, Eicher, Escorts, Hyundai, Volkswagen, and Mercedes. Additionally, the plant will produce and export hydraulic and pneumatic oil seals, as well as packaging and diaphragms, catering to the engineering industry clientele such as Tata Steel, Jindal Steel, ABB, BHEL, ONGC, JCB, BEML, Bosch Rexroth, and tractor manufacturers.
